Welcome to the sunshine season.
Time flies so fast and so do the seasons. After the long dark winter, here comes the spring and the summer with amazing never-ending light. Daylight gets longer and the clock starts to gather more dust.
There are different scents that make summer feel like summer: forest with its resin and moss, blue sky, white clouds, sand and waves, lilac flowers and chirping birds. Mornings lightened up by the chorus of common chaffinches, the lazy voice of the cuckoo, the sleepy buzz of wild bees in the wooden verandas. The breaking sound of branches falling from the tree during excessive summer heat. Endless days of summer.
Summer tastes sweet, sour and refreshing at the same time. The taste of berries, peaches, plums and kumquat, smoked salmon and barbeque on the grill. Summer is singing with joy magically just like it’ll go away in a blink of an eye.
“Smell the sea and feel the sky. Let your soul and spirit fly.” — Van Morrison
